1926 American Sesquicentennial Commemorative Silver Half Dollar. This coin commemorates the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and features a right-facing George Washington and Calvin Coolidge to the obverse. Coolidge is the only president to be featured on a coin while still in office, causing a great deal of controversy for the time. The reverse of the coin is highlighted with the Liberty Bell. Designer: John Frederick Lewis and John Ray Sinnock. Mintage: 140,592. Metal Content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: 30.6 mm. Weight: 12.5 grams. Coin appears circulated with light wear.
