Silver Canadian Dollar and Silver 5-Shilling South African Coin. The 1952 South African silver 5-Shilling coin features King George VI to the obverse and sailing ship to the reverse. It commemorates the 300th Anniversary of the founding of Capetown. The 1979 Canadian dollar has a right facing Queen Elizabeth to the obverse and sailing ship ‘The Griffon’ to the reverse. This coin celebrates the 300th Anniversary of The Griffon being the first ship to sail the Great Lakes. Both coins appear uncirculated. Metal Content: 50% silver, 50% copper(both). Diameter: 38.61mm(George VI). Weight: 28.28(George VI) and 23.33(Canadian).
