Condition

- discoloration to painting varnish; puncture hole to canvas at lower left; craquelure throughout; stretcher marks to canvas; loose tension to canvas causing it to billow; overpainting restoration throughout, concentrated in face and along sight edges; frame has been painted over gilt finish; cracks and chips throughout molding, with missing pearl molding at upper right and lower left corner; flaked chips to gesso and finish along outer edge exposing wood of frame; heavy dust accumulation to verso; tears and fray to canvas edges on verso.
