English poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning was born on March 6, 1806, near Durham, Englan. She is well-known for her romantic works Sonnets From the Portuguese and Aurora Leigh. She married fellow poet Robert Browning and died on June 29, 1861, in Florence, Italy.
