American artist, T. David Downs, was born in 1976 in Bowie, Texas. Originally beginning his studies in mechanical engineering, Downs soon transitioned to exclusively studying painting. He spent seven years doing independent studies at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and studied under Peter Homitzsky at the Art Students League in New York. Downs has exhibited across the United States and internationally. His work is collected by both private and public collections.
