Joe Stewart resides in Cincinnati, Ohio where, after years of making Arts and Crafts movement inspired furniture and frames, he turned to oil painting. He counts noted Cincinnati painters Edward Potthast, Frank Duveneck, and John Twachtman, as well as landscape painter George Inness as his main artistic inspirations. Stewart is a member of the Cincinnati Art Club, and currently operates the Joe Stewart Gallery in the historic O’Bryonville neighborhood of Cincinnati.
