1995 Union Case Commemorative Civil War Silver Coin Set. This lot contains a 1995-S commemorative Cilvil War proof silver dollar and clad half dollar and. The dollar features a wounded soldier being held by a fellow soldier to the obverse and a quote by the 20th Maine’s Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain to the reverse. The half dollar coin has a child military drummer to the obverse and cannon along a battlefield ridge to the reverse. Silver dollar: Metal content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: 38.1 mm. Weight: 26.7 grams. For the clad half-dollar: Metal content: 75% copper, 25% nickel. Diameter: 30.6 mm. Weight: approximately 11.34 grams. The coins are uncirculated, encapsulated and housed in a replica gutta percha union case.
