Gold and Silver Commemorative Civil War Silver Coin Set, 1995. The lot contains a 1995-W $5 proof gold coin featuring a Civil War Bugler on horseback to the obverse and raised wing eagle to the reverse; 1995-S proof silver dollar and 1995-S proof clad half dollar. The dollar features a wounded soldier being held by a fellow soldier to the obverse and a quote by the 20th Maine’s Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain to the reverse. The half dollar coin has a child military drummer to the obverse and cannon along a battlefield ridge to the reverse. Metal Content: 90% gold, 10% copper ($5), 90% silver, 10% copper ($1). Diameter: 21.59mm ($5), 38.1 mm ($1). Weight: 8.359 grams ($5), 26.73 grams ($1). The coins are uncirculated, encapsulated and housed in a replica gutta percha union case.
