August Goeser was born in St. Louis, Missouri and is known for painting landscapes, marine, and nature scenes. He was also an active member of the Cincinnati Art Club from approximately 1880 to 1909.

Condition

- some dust to surface of painting; gilt loss and scratches throughout frame; cuts to backing paper to the verso to examine the verso of panel.
