Born in Cincinnati Ohio, Amy Giust studied art and psychology at Hope College in Michigan. She began her art career as a realist painter in Mississippi in the late 1980s, but it wasn’t long before her work evolved to include the spontaneity, color and exuberance she saw in her children’s artwork. Giust, who has widely exhibited throughout the eastern half of the United States, has one of her paintings hanging in the Ambassador’s residence in Lisbon, Portugal through the Art in Embassies program and she was one of several artists whose work was exhibited at the My South celebration held during the 2004 Republican Convention in New York City. She has won numerous awards and her work is represented in corporate and private collections worldwide.
