Richard Williams was both a successful commercial artist and fine artist for decades. He graduated from the Buffalo School of Fine Arts and began creating advertising art for newspapers, and later, for advertising agencies. He was commissioned by The Society of Illustrators and was a member of multiple art organizations including the Hudson Valley Art Association, the American Artists’ Professional League, and the New Rochelle Art Association, among others. Later in life, he pursued a career in fine art and became known for his portraits, but also gained recognition for his landscapes and still lifes.

Condition

- conditions vary; posters with creases from folding; paper discolored overall with age; small spots of discoloration throughout; top panel of frame missing on each; corners of frames detached; residue and scratching to frames.
