Original Glenn F. Bastian Oil on Academy Board

An original, and wonderfully miniature, landscape painting on academy board by well-listed painter Glenn Franklin (GB) Bastian (1890 – 1966), signed to the lower right-hand corner with a museum tag to verso. As a river declines in elevation the water spills forward, over the rocks. Trees in the background, at the waters edge blow beautifully in the silver wind, as blue mountains recline even further behind. Above there are white wisps of cirrus clouds blowing across the mostly blue sky. This spirited painting is presented in a nice wooden frame with gilt.

- lightly worn about the frame.
