- the chest and stand appear to be associated (stand is later); overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, light cracks, and abrasions consistent with age and use; refinished and with scattered wear as well as some veneer distress and repairs; some former pest damage (worming) and associated marks; handles are associated/later (one is loose); top two drawers had interior lockplates at one time (recesses now filled in).
