Veryl Goodnight began as a wildlife artist, however she is particularly known for her bronze sculptures of animal and Western subjects. Based in Colorado, she works from live animal models many of which she has raised herself. Perhaps her best known work is The Day the Wall Came Down, a monumental sculptural group featuring five larger than life-size horses jumping over the collapsed Berlin Wall, currently located at the George Bush Presidential Library in Texas. Her work has been collected and exhibited by multiple institutions including the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Heritage Center (Oklahoma City); the Houston Astrodome; the Old West Museum in (Cheyenne, Wyoming); Brookgreen Gardens (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina); and the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame Museum (Colorado Springs), among others.

- minor tarnish and dust notably to collar, tail, and across base; minor abrasions to back of figure; scratches and nicks to the wood base.
