Margot de Taxco "Chrysanthemum" Convertible Necklace and Earrings
Item Details
Margot van Voorhies was a highly influential silversmith presiding in the city of Taxco, a hub of modernist, Mexican jewelry. Primarily working in colorful enamels she worked in traditional motifs evoking Mayan and Aztec designs as well as Egyptian, floral and serpent motifs. The necklace design is #5685, the earrings are design #5892 and can be found on page 56 and 92 in Margot Van Voorhies: The Art of Mexican Enamelwork by Penny C. Morrill.
