From the estate of Murray Lerner, and thence to his son.
The prolific, self-made film director and producer was best known for his film work from 1963-1967 documenting the historic Newport Folk Festival. This camera, utilized in that filming, captured the footage of cultural icons such as Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Pete. Seeger, Johnny Cash and hundreds of other performers.
The lot also includes Mitchell Camera Corp. 16mm motion picture film magazines, model 7545 S10, and a Mitchell ACDC motor, model #793.
