Early 1940s Marcel Boucher Articulated Pelican Brooch with Rhinestones

An early 1940s Marcel Boucher articulated pelican brooch. This brooch depicts a pelican with enameling in creams, pinks and black and rhinestone adornments. At the chest of the pelican is a pull chain which moves the mechanism to open the pelican’s mouth revealing a trembler enameled fish. This piece can be referenced on page 243 in Warman’s Jewelry by Christie Romero.
