A Splendid Tiffany & Co. Pocket Barometer in Fitted Case

A splendid Tiffany & Company pocket barometer in a fitted leather case. The tourist barometer has a silvered barometric dial to the inside and an aneroid altitude scale to the outside, with a single indicator hand. The dial is marked ‘Improved Altitude Scale Aneroid Compensated Rd No 149175 Tiffany & Co Paris. The case has beveled edges, a round ribbed turning device with round bale to the top, and appears to be sterling, but is not marked ’Sterling’, has two small hallmarks to the collar at the top. The case is a dark bottle green patterned leather over wood, with garnet satin lining to the top, and garnet velvet lining to the bottom.
