‘Full Tilt’ the sporting memoirs of Foxhall Keene, published in a limited number of 950 by Eugene V. Connett at the Derrydale Press, New York in 1938. This book is blue clothbound with the gilt stamped title to the front board and spine and is numbered to be #874. Foxhall Keene (1867-1941) was a fascinating figure during America’s gilded age, he owned and bred race horses, won a gold medal for Polo in the 1900 Olympics, he raced cars, was a renowned tennis player and even took up boxing. He was also a founding member of the National Steeplechase Association.
