Encapsulated Franklin Silver Half Dollars, 1948-1963. This lot of thirty-five silver Franklin half dollars spans the years of 1948 to 1963 and includes coins from both the Philadelphia Mint and Denver Mint for each year. The coins feature a right facing Benjamin Franklin to the obverse and the Liberty Bell to the reverse and are encapsulated between two pieces of lucite with lockdown screws from Capital Plastics. Designer: John R. Sinnock. Metal Content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: 30 mm. Weight: 12.5 grams(each)
