1862 Indian Head Cent and Four Other Indian Head Cents. This lot of five consists of a Civil War Era 1862 Indian Head cent as well as Indian Head cents from 1876, 1888, 1903 and 1909. The coins feature a left facing Liberty in Native American headdress to the obverse and shield and ‘ONE CENT’ in a wreath of laurels to the reverse. Designer: James B. Longacre. Metal Content: 95% copper, 5% tin and zinc. Diameter: 19 mm. Weight: approx. 3.11 grams (each). Coins appear circulated, 1876 coin well worn.
