Silver Mercury Dimes, Including 1944 Mercury ‘Split Bands’ Dime. This lot consists of eight silver Mercury dimes from 1936, 1937(2), 1941-S, 1942, 1943-D, 1944 with full split bands on the fasces to the obverse and a 1945-D. There are also four Roosevelt dimes from 1948-S, 1949-D, 1951-S and 1953-S. The Mercury dimes feature a left facing winged Mercury to the obverse and Roman fasces to the reverse. Mercury Designer: Adolph A. Weinman. Metal Content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: 17.9mm. Weight: 2.5g. Coins appear lightly circulated.
