Depicts a village scene with ceremonial house, haus tambaran to center and a hunting scene with crocodiles below.

Crocodiles play an important role in the culture of the Sepik River Valley, with the inhabitants both revering and hunting them. Crocodiles appear in many of the creations myths and legends of the region and their imagery can be found from the prows of their canoes to their headrests and furniture as well as on their skin. As part of initiation ceremonies still performed today, men (or women depending on the village) receive cuts across their bodies to creating the traditional crocodile skin appearance. The process takes weeks and is very painful as tree oil and clay have to be rubbed into the wounds to both disinfect them and to create the raised pattern.

- cracks most notably to center; stains and marks particularly to the lower right; accretions, nicks, scratches, and wear throughout.
