Born in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1973, Simone Lucas is known for her depictions of children. Lucas studied at the Academy of Art in Düsseldorf from 1995 through 2002 and is currently represented by Rupert Pfab Gallery. Her works are held in a number of private collections.

- wear to the finish on the frame, toning and discoloration to the fabric mat; frame stretcher loose in frame leading to gaping to the upper edge between canvas and frame.
