Constantin Westchiloff, a Russian-American artist best known for his seascapes, was born in Russia in 1877. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg and after traveling extensively through Europe and the United states he eventually settled in New England, where he painted the rugged coastal landscape.
