Condition
- discoloration to painting surface layer; accretions throughout; dent with tear to canvas and associated paint loss at upper left; craquelure throughout with flaking paint loss; buckle to canvas causing vertical ripple; frame rub along canvas edges; overpainting restoration indicated under UV light, with scattered areas to paintnig but concentrated along edges; surface wear to frame with abrasions and finish loss, chips and cracks to gesso molding, and slight separation at corner joins; holes, abrasions, and protruding nails to side edges of frame; water stains and discoloration to canvas verso; wear to frame verso includes holes from prior mounting hardware and gouged areas of wood at top and either side; canvas tension is slightly loose on stretcher.
