A collection of Kennedy half dollars including proof strikes and Key Date 1970-D. This collection consists of one hundred forty-two Kennedy half dollars from 1964 to 2011, though not all dates are represented and the collection is housed in a binder by the Dansco Corporation. The coins feature a left facing John F. Kennedy to the obverse and National Seal to the reverse except for the 1976 Bicentennial coins which have Independence Hall in Philadelphia to the reverse. The 1964 coins are 90% silver, 10% copper and the 1965-1970 coins are 40% silver, 60% copper. The coins after 1970 contain no silver except those in the collection designated as silver proof or 40% proof and only contain 40% silver. Designer: Gilroy Roberts/Frank Gasparro. Diameter: 30.6 mm(each). Weight: approx. 12.5 grams (each). Coins appear to be uncirculated.
