Harry (Hal) Robinson was known for his naturalist landscape paintings that showed Impressionist and Tonalist influences. He immigrated to the United States from England in 1893 and settled in New York. Little is known about Robinson’s education or artistic training, but he exhibited his work at numerous art institutions including the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the National Academy of Design, and the Babcock & Snedecor Galleries.
