Item Details

Vintage $1 and $2 Bank of Canada Canadian Banknotes. This lot of five includes a 1937 $1 and $2 Bank of Canada banknote featuring King Edward VI to the obverse and Liberty and abundance to the reverse. There is also one 1954 ’Devil’s Face’ with Coyne and Towers signatures and two 1967 $1 banknotes featuring Queen Elizabeth II to the obverse and Canada’s first parliament building to the reverse. The way the engravers created the curls in Queen Elizabeth’s hair gives the impression of a ’Devil’s Face’ in the hair. 6’W x 3’D. The two 1967 banknotes appear to be uncirculated.
