An Indian Wars Era U.S. Army officer’s sack coat with Indian Campaign Medal, late 19th to early 20th century. The sack coat features single-breasted construction with a five button row of general service buttons (‘SCOVILL MF’G CO. / WATERBURY’ backmarks). The shoulder straps identify the rank of First Lieutenant.
