Harry Thomas Fisk was an American artist and illustrator born in Portsmouth, Ohio. He began work as a third-generation commercial painter, but left home at the age of 22 to study in New York at the Art Students League and pursue commercial illustration work. He produced interior story illustrations for numerous pulp fiction and weekly magazine publications, and his work was featured on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post. He was a member of the National Arts Club and the Salmagundi Club, and president of the Artist’s Guild, Inc.

- toning and foxing to paper; slight discoloration to mat board; accretion between mat and glass; slight bow to frame sides; surface wear throguhout frame; adhesive residue to glass at lower right.
