James Milton Sessions is an American artist born in Albany New York in 1882. After studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Sessions went on to become a major illustrator of the WWII period. His military and naval paintings can be found throughout a number of US naval, army and marine academies. Sessions is notable for being the only American artist to ever have a Metropolitan Museum of art exhibit take place during their lifetime. His work can be found in the Speed Museum, KY as well as a number of corporations including the Chicago Tribune and Borg Warner.
