1895 Barber Silver Half Dollar and Quarter Dollar. These two coins feature a right facing Liberty with a crown of laurels to the obverse and a heraldic raised wing eagle with shield to the reverse. Designer: Charles E. Barber. Mintage: 1,835,21 (half dollar), 4,440,000 (quarter). Metal Content: 90% Silver, 10% copper. Diameter: 30 mm (half dollar), 24.3mm (quarter). Weight: approximately 12.5 grams (half dollar), 6.25 grams (quarter).
