An 1874 Indian Head Princess Gold $3 coin necklace. This coin features a left facing liberty with Native American headdress to the obverse and ‘3 DOLLARS 1874’ in a wreath of laurels to the reverse. The coin is in a 14k gold bezel with screw to the top and on a gold tone base metal chain. Designer: James Barton Longacre. Mintage: 41,800. Metal content: 90% gold, 10% copper. Diameter: 20.5 mm. Weight: approximately 5.0 grams.
