- discoloration and accretion to painting surface; minor craquelure scattered throughout; edge wear to canvas with flaked paint loss; wear to finish of frame, with loss of gilt and exposed gesso troughout; mold spots to verso, concentrated along lower edge; canvas is ill-fitting in frame, with foam-core spacers inserted to frame rabbet to keep it in place.
