Additional Information The map shows the encampments and troop positions of the armies of Julius Caesar against the Republicans and their Nubian allies near the cities of Usita and Ruspina. This battle was during the Roman Civil War (49 – 45 BCE).

Condition

- the map is mounted across the top edge to a printed page on laid paper from a book titled Superstitions Orientalis; there is a central fold in the map page and some roughness along one edge; light toning to the map page; wrinkling to the edges of the text page.
