Edgar Schofield Baum was a physician and the son of noted painted Walter Emerson Baum (American, 1884 – 1956). Edgar Baum worked with his father at the school he established, the Baum School of Art in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

- minor marks, abrasions, and accretions to the work; chip and nail to the upper sight edge of the frame; scratches, wear, marks, and nicks throughout the frame.
