Van Boskerck was best known for his depictions of picturesque vistas in the Adirondack Mountains, New Jersey and Long Island, Holland, France, and England. His work is represented in the collections of numerous prestigious institutions, including the George Walter Vincent Smith Museum; the Union League of New York City; Heckscher Museum of Art; Lotus Club; Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts; Fencers Club; National Academy of Design Museum; New-York Historical Society; The Brooklyn Museum of Art; and the Layton Art Gallery, among many others.
