Collectible Porcelain Robin by Giuseppe Tagliariol "Tay" and Bone China Sparrow
Item Details
A porcelain figurine of robin designed by renowned Italian artist Giuseppe Tagliariol (1915-1982), known as Bepi Tay. The detailed and realistic robin is beautifully painted and has one leg perched on branch with the other leg resting on a seed pod. In the 1980s, Tay was commissioned to make an American Bald Eagle for President Reagan. The robin figurine is incised with ‘Tay’ at base and to underside. Also included is a small Royal Worcester bone china figurine of a hedge sparrow, marked to underside with manufacturer and number ‘3333’.
Condition
Tag robin piece is in very good condition. The small sparrow has a slight piece chipped from beak.
