Florence Putterman is a Postmodern painter and printmaker, known for her works often featuring abstract motifs, surrealist animals, and figures. The artist received her Bachelor’s degree at New York University and her MFA at Pennsylvania State University. Later on, she was granted fellowhips from the National Endowment for th Arts and the Virignia Center for the Creative Arts. Her work has been exhibited and collected by multiple reputable institutions including the Brooklyn Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago, among many others.
