Levent Isik is a self-taught folk artist based in Ohio. He began painting in the late 1980s as a hobby, with his first painting depicting a jester, making this composition a familiar subject of his. Many of his more mature works are mixed media compositions incorporating found objects that add three-dimensional accents to his vibrantly colorful works. His work has been exhibited at numerous institutions including the Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Center in Colonial Williamsburg, the American Folk Art Museum in New York City, and the Delaware Museum of Art, among others.
