Joni T. Johnson was born and raised in Indiana, and studied at the John Herron Art Institute. After her studies she established a studio in Indianapolis, sold her work in galleries, and found the Talbott Street Art Fair, which is still in existence today. Her work resides in numerous private collections, including those of Katherine Hepburn, Harry Belafonte and Lana Turner, and two of her paintings have been displayed in the White House East Room.

- slight waving to sheet; nicks, scratches and accretion to frame.
