Tetsuro Shimizu’s work is characterized by bold, gestural colors and the unique and often curvilinear shapes of his canvases. Born in Japan, he moved to Italy in 1987. He studied painting at the Academy of Brera and worked with Italian artists Gottardo Ortelli and Italo Bressan. He now lives and works in Milan, and his work has been exhibited in Italy, Switzerland, and Japan.
