Steven Klein is an American folk artist, born in Brooklyn, New York in 1946. He paints his own version of Americana in a naive style, using bright colors, simplified forms and what he terms “magic perspective” which allows the viewer to observe the scene from multiple vantage points. Klein’s work is widely collected and he wrote and illustrated the children’s book Up, Up and Away.
