Edward George Diers Rookwood Pottery Vellum Glaze Vase, 1927

Item Details

Edward Diers (Ohio, 1871 – 1947) was a Cincinnati artist who worked at Rookwood Pottery from 1896 until 1931. He studied at the Ohio Mechanics Institute, Indiustrial Art School and the Cincinnati Art Academy. Diers was particularly known for his use of Vellum glaze and depicting landscapes on his Rookwood pieces, as is exhibited in this work.
