Norman Scott “Butch” Quinn began making art at the age of 35. He started making collages and paintings with found objects, paints, markers and other mixed medias exemplary of outsider and folk art. Quinn is entirely untrained and his works combine elements of fantasy, religion and common life. Today, his works can be found in the collection of the Museum of American Folk Art in New York City, the Smithsonian Institution Museum of American Art in Washington, D.C., the Clarion University of Pennsylvania Museum and the Westmoreland Museum of American Art.
