A large Wihoa’s hand painted vase, features a large, tapered form, with a deep brown underglaze, with hand painted Plains Indian portrait wearing hair feathers and necklaces, finished in a high gloss overglaze. This large piece is signed, by artist, Rick Wisecarver, to mid section as photographed. Rick Wisecarver (Ohio 1950-2002), an Ohio artist, was a masterful artist, that was best known for his Indian art pottery. This striking piece is incised to base ’Wihoa’s Hand Paint Art Pottery 1981 G.R.L.’.
