Ancient Roman AR Denarius coin of Vespasian, ‘Judaea Capta’ type, ca. 70 A.D. Coin marks the Seige of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Obverse: IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, laureate head right. Reverse: Captive Jewess seated right, hands tied before, trophy of captured arms behind, IVDAEA in exergue. Metal Content: silver. Diameter: 16.3 mm. Reference S2296. Coin is circulated with dark toning.
