Ancient Roman Imperial AR Denarius of Elagabalus, ca. 219 A.D. Antioch mint. Obverse: IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate bust right. Reverse: P M TR P IIII COS III P P, Elagabalus standing half-left sacrificing out of patera over lighted altar, holding club or cypress branch upwards in left hand, star in field. Metal Content: silver. Diameter: 18.8 mm. Reference RIC 177. Coin is very lightly circulated.
