Lee Hafer (nom de plume) is both a self-taught and formally trained artist working in the United States. The focus of Hafer’s work is uninhibited experimentation involving various base layers that are constructed on the canvas with a variety of media. Subsequently, the following layers are often evocative of traditional landscapes are painted. Finally, the last layers are etched, imprinted, changed and challenged on the surface using a variety of tools, creating unique compositions.
